Singapore researchers push frontiers of flexible electronics

NUS Engineering has established a S$50 million research initiative to develop the next generation of flexible electronics. The researchers will develop hybrid electronics that are highly flexible and cost-effective to produce. Potential applications of such technologies include areas such as soft robotics, wearable consumer electronics, smart medical prosthetic devices, gait analysis, real-time healthcare monitoring, as well as virtual reality and gaming.
