The Class of 1992 Mechanical Engineering (photo) held a fabulous and most memorable 25th Anniversary Reunion Dinner on 15 September 2017. Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof Phan-Thien together with 7 other professors were present to welcome the alumni back to NUS. A large turnout of 70 classmates, more than half of the 1992 mechanical engineering cohort, was present to celebrate the jubilant occasion. Over dinner at the NUS Society Kent Ridge Guild House, former campus mates and lecturers spent time catching up and reminiscing about their university days. Name cards were exchanged while we updated each other of our jobs and mobile phone numbers and teased each other of our grey hairs and enhanced waistlines. Old photographs of the four memorable years on campus and in the laboratories as well as photographs of the 20th reunion dinner were compiled into a slide show for all alumni to relive the fond memories of their yesteryears and the reunion dinner 5 years ago.

Special acknowledgement to partners such as the NUS DVO and the Tote Board for their continued support and generosity.
The evening was fun, lively and full of laughers. Classmates gathered for hilarious photo-taking at the photo-booth (photo). A magnificent close-up table magician mesmerized the alumni with his superb magic performance (photo). The alumni totally enjoyed themselves with karaoke singing, with splendid renditions of Hokkien song 要拼才会赢 and English song Make Me a Better Man by Foo Meng, while Sean, Jonathon, Tze Tai and Lip Kee gave an awesome and impressive performance of a number of Chinese songs, such as 家, 祝福, 朋友and a Cantonese version of朋友 (photo).
The dinner ended with a grand finale with everyone, both alumni and professors, joining in a sing-along of the song about friendship Take Me Home, Country Roads. It was a very meaningful moment when all of us joined in the singing. Alumni went home with wonderful memories while looking forward enthusiastically to the next reunion dinner celebration in 5 years’ time!
