18 Jul 2008 ! Appeal to increase workload (for 1st year students)
The workload for 1st-year students in semester 1 is 20MCs.  Increase of workload is NOT encouraged, unless with valid reasons. Students who really need increase workload has to apply for approval through your respective departments.
18 Jul 2008   Double Degree Programme (DDP) Students

- Returning DDP students may bid for Business & Economics modules via CORS from Round 1A onwards.  Please make sure that the Business/Economics modules chosen do not clash with your Engineering modules in terms of class and exam timetable.

- New DDP Students may bid for Business & Economics modules via CORS from Round 1C onwards.  All 1st year Engineering core modules will be pre-allocated to you (please see here for more info.), hence, the Business/Economics modules chosen must not clash with your Engineering modules in terms of class and exam timetable.

Returning Students

- Students who have not done or need to re-take year 1 core modules are to register for the module via our E-Form latest by 29 July 2008. Do note that this is subjected to availability of vacancies. Therefore, applications received after deadline will NOT be entertained. Those who have successfully secure the module are required to ballot for the tutorials and labs in CORS. For CS1101C Lab, please register at SOC's website. For timetable details, please click here.

18 Jul 2008 ! New Students (Year 1 & Direct Entry Poly Students)
- Year One core modules (lectures, tutorials & labs) will be pre-allocated to you based on your recommended schedules.  Please click here for more details.
- Students may only start bidding from Round 1C onwards.
- When bidding for other modules, please avoid clashes with your allocated timetable (lectures, tutorials & labs).

18 Jul 2008 ! Appeal for Modules
Apart from modules that are pre-allocated, students should bid for their desired modules via CORS during the bidding rounds before sending in appeals.  Students may file for appeals via CORS after Round 3B (i.e. 12 Aug 08, 2301hrs onwards).  Please follow the appeal guidelines for ULR modules here.  The closing date for appeals is 15 Aug 08, 0800hrs. Appeals file before Round 3B will be voided.

  • Where can I find the CORS Bidding Schedule?
    The CORS Bidding Schedule is available here.

  • Some programmes required us to read a PC level 1000 module as URL-Breadth.  Can I read PC1221 & PC1222 to fulfill this requirement?
    No, these two modules are bridging modules, i.e. they are A-level equivalent.  Please click here for more information on the Physics Requirements for the various programmes.

  • I am not going for IA next semester, can I register for the evening HR2002 module?
    We will open the module for the regular students if there are vacancies.  Announcements will be made via this website and email to students.

  • I am a year 2 student and I hope to read EG2401 Engineering Professionalism in the coming semester.  Can I bid for the module now?
    Priority for EG2401 is given to the Year 3 and 4 students. If there are vacancies left after a few bidding rounds, it will be open to year 2 students for bidding via CORS.  Announcements will be made via this website and email to students.

  • I am a year 1 student.  Can I exceed workload of 20MCs for the coming semester?
    All first year students are allowed to read up to 20MCs in their first semester.  This is the recommended manageable workload per semester.  As such, please do not overload yourself as it may affect your overall academic performance.

  • How many lectures does EG1471 English for Academic Purposes has?
    There is only one mass lecture.
