AMTEC 2004 - Award of Merit
given to "SIM Furnace", a courseware developed by NUS
AMTEC 2004 was held at the Laurentian University, Sudbury,
Ontario, Canada.

SimFurnace, the web-based simulator for
process control education, developed jointly with NUS'
Center for Development of Teaching and Learning & Center for
Instructional Technology won an Award of Merit in the online
category at the Annual Media Festival of the Association for
Media Technology in Education in Canada.
The award was received by Mr. Gilles
Doiron at Sudbury, Ontario on 27 May 2004.


Media Showcase and Awards Festival
The Association for Media and Technology in Education in
Canada (AMTEC) holds it Media Festival in conjunction with
itβs annual conference held across Canada each year.
AMTEC will present a national showcase for educational
media, recognizing outstanding examples of educational
video, audio, and multimedia programs as part of the AMTEC
conference.
AMTEC invites producers of instructional and
informational media to submit entries in any of the five
classifications of the Festival: student productions; school
systems; post secondary institution; government
organization; and commercial/industry agency
Entries will be judged and evaluated by a panel of judges
and will be eligible for the following awards:
Award of Excellence β A plaque and certificate
Award of Merit - A certificate
Canadian Education Association Award β Plaque
Panasonic Awards β 3 Plaques
