Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry of Madagascar on Visit to NUS
 

Directors of M3TC and the Dean of Faculty of Engineering (FoE) were privileged to welcome Dr Ivohasina Fizara Razafimahefa, Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry of Madagascar, and Mr Prega Ramasamy, CEO of EDB of Madagascar to NUS on 25 April 2008. This visit provided the parties with numerous opportunities to examine the scope for greater collaboration in future projects especially in R&D and student exchange programs. The purpose of this visit was to develop relations between M3TC and Madagascar and to promote M3TC as an advisor to assist on minerals extraction and upstream activities that will benefit both the company and local occupants of the country. During the visit, a brief introduction of the FoE and M3TC was presented with highlights on their past and on-going activities, current position, and ambitions. Following the presentation was a tour of the chemical engineering laboratory which concluded the visit. This visit served as a building block between the two countries and a stepping stone to greater opportunities for our centre.
