Anne Lochoff is one of 9 Women rated as the Top Global Influencers of Tech Innovation in Cities by Inc.com in 2016. Common strengths in strategy, design and technology integration run through Anne’s career. While intersecting across government, academia, business and NGO’s. Currently consulting as a strategic business advisor to the Executive Director of the World Vision hosted Asia P3 Hub based in Singapore. She is also the former chair and business advisor at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Beachheads network. As a former Executive Director at McCann Erickson she was part of the global team managing the MasterCard account for APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa).

Rudy Schalk Director of Rolls Royce @NTU Corporate Laboratory

Rudy Schalk, a Silicon Valley native brings over 25 years of experience in technology development and commercialization. This includes starting and running several companies in the US together with roles working with industry including Lockheed Martin, Flextronics, Xiaomi & Google. Over the past decade Rudy has served as a Director and held P&L responsibility for Flextronics. He has been involved in technology development in Singapore for the past 7 years, interfacing with organizations such as ETPL, IPI and IDA. Rudy is currently the Director of Rolls Royce @NTU Corporate Laboratory and holds an Adjunct faculty appointment at Nanyang Technological University.

Walter Lee Evangelist and Government Relations Leader, Global Safety Division, NEC

Walter Lee is the Evangelist & Government Relations Leader, Global Safety Division, NEC. He leads a team to evangelise, envision and enable new test-beds with government agencies and corporations globally. He was the Head of Innovation Management Office, Global Safety Division of NEC where he led various strategic PoCs and spearheaded a solutioning roadmap. Prior to joining NEC, he held senior management appointments in various industries. He was the CEO of the e-Cop Group, Senior Vice-President at the Agency for Science Technology and Research, Head/Vice President at IDC Consulting Asia-Pacific, member of the Worldwide Consulting Management Board, and Head/Vice-President of E-Commerce at the SIA Group, and Member of the Founding Committee of Zuji.Com.

Chin Tahn Joo Venture Partner, Angel Investor and Advisor to Tech Companies

Tahn Joo has worked and lived in Singapore, Silicon Valley, and Beijing as a technology manager, venture capitalist and investment banker. She started her career as an electrical engineer and went on to pioneer the setting up of a public IT research organization. She managed the National Science and Technology Board’s first technology venture fund as Partner of Venture TDF, which has invested in companies such as Alibaba.com, Sina.com, Webex (acquired by Cisco), and Mediaring.com (SGX listed). She also founded the Singapore Israel R&D Fund (SIIR Fund). As Managing Director of Beijing based Hina Group, she focused on cross border M&A and investment banking. She was founding partner of Beijing government sponsored Hina VC fund. In China, she has invested in Chineseall (300364.SZ), ShengJing360.com (833010), Best Logistics (BSTI), and Framedia (acquired by Focus Media). Tahn Joo participated in several national technopreneurship programmes and continues to be active as investor, advisor and mentor for budding Singaporean entrepreneurs.

Tan Yinglan Founding Managing Partner at Insignia Ventures Partners

Prior to becoming founding Insignis Ventures, he was Venture Partner at Sequoia Capital where he was the first hire in Southeast Asia. On the investment front, Yinglan sourced multiple investment opportunities for Sequoia India including Tokopedia, Go-jek, Carousell, Appier (where he represented Sequoia on the board), Dailyhotel (where he represented Sequoia on the board), Pinkoi and 99.co. He was also involved with evaluation of these opportunities, diligence, writing of investment notes and supporting the investments with strategy, recruiting, business development and fund raising. Binayak Bagchi

Binayak Bagchi is a HR leader with 22 years of experience, in APAC and US, in Strategic Human Resource Management; Leadership; Executive Coaching; Organization Design; Innovation and Change Management. Binayak is currently working as APAC HR Director for Medtronic. His industry experience is primarily in Healthcare; Consulting and Telecom and he has managed various large roles in Global Business HR Leadership, Global Delivery/ R&D HR Leadership to APAC HR Strategy & Organization Change Leadership. Binayak is presently pursuing his Doctorate in Asian Leadership & Change and has a Clinical Psychology Masters in Coaching, Consulting & Change from INSEAD and an MBA in General Management & HR.

Elton Fong

Elton Fong is the Team Lead of PSA Unboxed Pte Ltd, the corporate venture capital arm of PSA International Pte Ltd which runs an incubator program to nurture and invest in startups in the areas of logistics technologies and port productivity. Elton joined PSA in 1998 in the then newly created Supply Chain Management Department. There, he developed logistics solutions for clients, including a Track and Trace solution in collaboration with Savi Technologies and Manugistics, and a supply chain management system for then the largest exporter in Singapore – The Polyolefin Company. Within PSA, Elton moved on to a business development role with a stint in container terminal operations where he managed a part of the Singapore business operations. In business development, he plays a key role in the expansion of PSA business overseas in line with its long-term objectives, including identifying, evaluating and recommending prospective acquisitions, mergers or joint ventures, as well as identifying and leading/assisting the development of new business opportunities. Elton was involved in a number of container terminal investment projects across the world, including successful ventures by PSA in Turkey, India, Argentina, Colombia, Cuba and Panama. Since 2010, Elton was responsible for the origination of PSA’s new businesses in the Americas region, including structuring and negotiating investment deals.

Elton was awarded the PSA Overseas Scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science Degree (1st Class Honours) in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Wim Vanhaverbeke Visiting professor at ESADE Business School and the National university of Singapore

He published in different international journals such as Organization Science, Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management, California Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Small Business Economics, Journal of Business Venturing, Technovation, etc. He was co-editor with Henry Chesbrough and Joel West of “Open Innovation: Researching a New Paradigm” (OUP, 2006) and “New frontiers in open innovation” (OUP, 2014). He also published a management book “Managing open innovation in SMEs” (CUP – 2017) and an academic volume “Researching open innovation in SMEs” (World Scientific Press – 2018). He is a dedicated open innovation researcher collaborating with different partners in universities and companies around the globe. His current research is focusing on open innovation in SMEs, innovation ecosystems and on the implementation of open innovation practices. He established the European Innovation Forum with Henry Chesbrough in 2012 and is co-organizer of the World Open Innovation Conference 2016. He is a frequently asked speaker at leading international conferences and an adviser for several globally operating companies. He consults and organizes workshops for multinationals and technology companies. He was recognized by the International Association of Management of Technology (IAMOT) as one of the top 50 authors of technology and innovation management during the period 2008-2012.

Ms Sun Jiao Jiao is an Assistant Nurse Clinician at NUH with ten years of nursing experience. Responsible for US$400 million/year in Titanium Dioxide Pigment sales. Established offices in Singapore, Melbourne, and Shanghai & 20 distributors across the A/P region. Experienced in Sales, Supply-Chain, and Production planning. Prior to Tronox had own trading firm “Geomet” in Metals & Chemical trading, following a decade of trading/shipping bulk fertilizers in Asia, and Africa.

Eric Loh CEO, Trendlines Medical Singapore Pte. Ltd

Eric Loh has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. Most notably, Eric played significant roles in developing Biosensors International, an early-stage cardiovascular device company, to a successful, publicly traded company on the Singapore Stock Exchange. In his role as the Managing Director of Biosensors, he oversaw the establishment of a joint venture operation in China that resulted in Biosensors’ successful entry into the fast-growing Chinese markets. He also led successful sales and marketing efforts and commercialized Biosensors’ products in many other markets in Asia Pacific while managing two manufacturing facilities in Singapore.

In 2005, Eric was involved with the company’s IPO on the Singapore Stock Exchange. He continued to lead the company’s corporate development and was involved in several M&A transactions that brought value to the company’s progress.

After leaving Biosensors, Eric was the CEO of another start-up, EPI Mobile Health, where he achieved regulatory approvals of the novel mobile ECG device from the FDA, CE, and HSA that enabled the commercialization of the products in key markets in Asia.

Eric holds an M.Sc., Medical Engineering, and B.Eng. (Hons.), both from the National University of Singapore; is a graduate of an Executive MBA program affiliated with the Helsinki School of Economics; and is a CFA charterholder.

Jean Thoh Executive Director, UOB Venture Mangement

Jean has more than twenty years of experience in private equity investments and has been with UOBVM since 2003. She is responsible for making investment recommendations and decisions, monitoring of portfolio companies, seeking divestment opportunities, as well as fund raising activities. Prior to joining UOBVM, Jean spent more than ten years at Singapore EDB Investments managing its life science funds. She is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors and an Associate Member of CPA Australia. She holds a Master of Professional Accounting from Singapore Management University, Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry degree from University College, London.

Gary Lee Director / Director Technical Sourcing Solutions, Jabil Circuit Singapore

Gary is an experienced executive with over 20 years of management and design experience. His strong technical background and strategic vision were valuable traits that he brought to both MNCs and early stage startups alike. Gary has a track record of setting up and managing multi-disciplinary, multi-national teams in R&D, Product Design & Development, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing. Kelvin Chan Kei Lim Angel Investor, former Managing Director/Co-Head Asia Pacific PE team for Partners Group

Mr. Kelvin Chan was instrumental in the setup and successful build-up of Partners Group’s footprint and portfolio in Asia. Kelvin has participated and contributed substantially in raising over a few USD billions across different products and regions. Kelvin’s successful career at Partners Group has since enabled him to become a private investor and pursue his next challenges in life.

He has over 20 years of global experience in private equity (primary, secondary and direct) investing globally, and over 5 years experience in corporate and private banking in Asia-Pacific region. Prior to Partners Group, Kelvin has held senior positions in TIF Ventures, EDB Investments (both under Singapore Economic Development Board) and ORIX Investments. Kelvin was formerly the Chairman of the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association from 2006 to 2009. Kelvin is an alumnus of NUS with a B.Sc in Biochemistry and holds an MBA in Banking and Finance from NTU.
