Prof Ron Sanchez is a Professor of Management at Copenhagen Business School (Department of Industrial Economics and Strategy). Prior to these positions, Prof Sancehz was Professor of Strategy and Technology Management at IMD (International Institute for Management Development), Lausanne, Switzerland.
Prof Sanchez has a PhD in Technology Stratgegy, MS in Civil Engineering, BS in Architecture and BS in Humanities and Science from MIT and an Executive MBA (with honors) from Saint Mary's College of California.
His research interests include theory and practice of comptence-based strategic management; modularity in product, process and knowledge architectures; knowledge management and strategic organizational learning; options theory in strategic management; and strategic flexibility.
Prof Sanchez has written numerous books and journal articles on strategic management, technology management, and knowledge management. His most recent books include Knowledge Management and Organizational Competence (Oxford University Press, 2000) and (with Aime Heene) The New Strategic Management: Organization, Competition, and Competence (John Wiley and Sons, 2003).
