Scholarship & Financial Aid

Scholarships

A*STAR Scholarship

Engineering Science undergraduate students may apply for A*STAR's Scholarships here.

These courses are specially designed to reduce the common barriers to multidisciplinary work and bring out creative qualities. Graduates will be conferred a Bachelor of Engineering (Engineering Science) degree.

Financial Aid

NUS offers financial aid in the form of loans, bursaries and work-study opportunities to help meet the educational expenses of financially-needy students. These are administered by the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) within the Office of Admissions. Information on the various Financial Aid schemes can be found at the OFA website. If you wish to apply for Financial Aid to support your education at NUS, you should submit an online application here, between 1 February and 1 April every year. Please refer to the Financial Aid FAQs if you have any queries on OFA-administered Financial Aid. For further assistance, you may contact OFA at telephone 6516-2870 or email financialaid@nus.edu.sg

Note: Financial Aid applications should be made regardless of whether you intend to apply for scholarships and/or other forms of financial assistance offered or administered by sources other than the OFA. In addition, all required supporting documents should reach the OFA within two weeks from your online application date. Application results will be made known to you via your NUS email account from June onwards. Please check your NUS email account regularly to avoid (1) missing our request for additional supporting documents and (2) missing the acceptance deadline if you are successful. You may also check on your application status at the Financial Aid application portal. As Financial Aid and Donated Scholarships share the same application portal, please remember to opt for both schemes in the same online application form if you wish to apply for both schemes. You are required to submit only one application form for both schemes.

NUS bursary and Work-Study Assistance Scheme

If you are in receipt of the NUS Bursary and Work-Study Assistance Scheme in the current academic year, please note that re-application is required if you wish to be considered for these schemes again in the next academic year.

For more information on eligibility criteria, click the corresponding links for NUS Bursary and the Work Study Assistance Scheme.

Faculty-Level Bursaries and Scholarships

To be considered for the faculty-level bursaries and scholarships, please apply for Financial Aid and/or Donated Scholarships through the Office of Financial Aid from 1 February to 1 April every year.

The Office of Financial Aid (OFA) and your school will send your application results to you via your NUS email account from June onwards. If you are offered a bursary/scholarship by both the OFA and your school, you will only be allowed to hold the award of the higher quantum and auto-withdrawal of the award with the lower quantum will be done. Please check your NUS email account regularly as OFA may require you to submit additional supporting documents and/or accept the financial aid/scholarship offer if you are successful.
