The Faculty of Engineering Innovation and Research Award (previously called the Faculty of Engineering FYP Innovation Award) was set up in 1987 with the view to recognize and appreciate innovative talents for their project achievements.

ESP Director Prof Wang Chien Ming is one the key members of the NUS-Shanghai Maritime University-Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries team that participated in the Next Generation Container Port (NGCP) Challenge launched by Singapore Maritime Institute and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.

ESP Final Year Student Siaw Kian Zhong won 1st Prize in Numerical Technologies Competition 2013
On 29 January 2013, Numerical Technologies Pte. Ltd. (a cutting-edge financial risk management software company) held a competition to test the ability of new graduates and graduating students to think analytically and communicate logical, well-thought-of solutions.

What is the Engineering Science Programme all about?
The Engineering Science Programme (ESP) exposes students to various engineering disciplines and provides a platform to integrate knowledge from the sciences and engineering through design projects, UROPs, and internships. Apart from that, the student-run ESP sub-club frequently organises social gatherings during festive seasons.
