Commencement Giving from Engineering Class of 2010

Let's work towards the $5,000 target. Make a gift.

The Faculty of Engineering is committed to supporting its undergraduates by providing financial assistance through the Engineering Student Development Fund (ESDF). First introduced in 2007, the ESDF helps students achieve their fullest potential by broadening their education, ensuring that they graduate from the Faculty as all-rounders with a strong sense of leadership. Here are what some who have benefited from the ESDF in 2009 have to say:

Recipient’s Testimonials

"The ESDF has benefited me greatly as it gave me the motivation to strive harder in my education. I would like to express my gratitude towards the donors who have come forward to give assistance." – Muhammad Nur Hakim Bin Jufri, 2nd year ME student (recipient of ESDF, 2009)

“The financial assistance from ESDF has enriched my life greatly. I really appreciate the generosity shown by the donors” – Yee Whye Tuck, final year ChBE student (recipient of ESDF, 2009)

Help play a part to support and transform the lives of your juniors or peers! It’s not the amount that matters, but your participation. Giving is a privilege.

Make a gift to the "engineering student development fund" (donations can be made with credit/debit card).

* Singapore tax residents will receive a tax deduction that is 2.5 times the value of their gifts to NUS.

Kuan Yee Han, final year Mechanical Engineering student

"I had an amazing NUS experience during my undergraduate years; a challenging engineering curriculum, lifelong friendship with course mates, involvement in committees at the NUS Students' Union, entrepreneurial opportunities at the NUS Overseas College, sleepless nights during Rag Day. Just as our education has benefitted from the generosity of alumNUS, giving back to the university is our way to ensure that future students will have the same great NUS experience that we had."

2010 Graduating Class, Engineering Science Programme

"Being the pioneer cohort of students in the Engineering Science Programme (ESP), we have been through thick and thin in the past four years -- sharing great times at our beloved E3A teaching laboratory as well as struggling through tests and exams. NUS has given us colourful memories. We have also forged strong and valuable friendships. We should do our part to create the same wonderful experience for our juniors, so that they can keep the ESP torch burning."
