"Tremor Monitoring and Assessment of Buildings"

Description
- To conduct R&D work on cost-effective means of measuring tremor severity, e.g. piezo-ceramic or similar sensor for acceleration measurement suitable for low-level earthquakes.
- To work with the collaborator (HDB) on field measurement of real buildings and test the sensor and instrumentation system.
Minimum Qualification
- Ph D in mechanical/structural engineering or equivalent. Students who are about to complete Ph.D. degree in relevant areas will also be considered.
