Research Engineer under Offshore Technology Research Programme
A funded project “Smart Sensing and System Identification for Offshore Structures” requires a research engineer.

Job Description:
- The research engineer will carry out experimental work using optical fibre sensors for damage detection in offshore platforms. Candidate should be familiar with the handling optical fibres and experienced in interpreting optical signal/data for damage identification. Research work also includes preparation of metallic specimens instrumented with optical fibre for mechanical testing. Experience using high-resolution OTDR and working knowledge of applied electronics and LabVIEW programming will be an added advantage. Foreign candidates will be considered for both positions but without expatriate benefit.
