The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE), formed on 27 September 2010, is an integration of the Department of Civil Engineering (CE) and the Division of Environmental Science & Engineering (ESE). Professor Cheong Hin Fatt has been appointed as the Head of CEE. Under the leadership of Prof Cheong and his new Department Management Committee, CEE strives to prepare students to deal with major engineering challenges of the future in a sustainable manner by providing quality, innovative educational programmes and offering multidisciplinary research opportunities.
